What is Reiki?
Reiki is a form of an energy system, used to assist with healing of physical and mental trauma, support mental clarity, and improve spiritual well-being. It is based on a philosophy that recognizes “life force energy;” an energy that flows through all living things. It helps with any disruptions, imbalances, or blocks in the flow of energy that keeps the body balanced. It is not a massage and you will receive the treatments fully clothed. When performing a reiki session, I am your conduit for energy. I transmit that positive life force energy through my hands to affected parts of your energy field, assisting in restoring balance throughout your body. I incorporate therapeutic essential oils, (that have been used for thousands of years), in my treatments. The treatments can also be done over long distance. The goal is to assist the body’s innate ability to restore itself to optimal performance.
How does Reiki work?
Imagine how a plant reacts when it isn’t given water and sunlight. The same happens to us when our bodies become starved of life-force energy. Without balanced energy, stress, pain, disease, anxiety, and an array of physical, emotional, and spiritual pressures fester and create havoc within one’s body and mind. When Reiki energy is administered, your conscious mind will relax allowing the tension in your body to melt away. The treatment can aid the heart rate to slow, blood pressure to come down, and with the reduction of stress hormones. When this occurs, your body’s healing mechanisms can work at optimal capacity, releasing endorphins and endogenous opiates (the body’s self-made painkillers), enabling the body to heal from the cellular level on out. This restoration of overall harmony, usually happens, over multiple sessions (although it varies for everyone, and it could happen with one session), since in the early sessions, the body tends to cleanse, and release what’s needed.
What can Reiki do for you?
Hospitals affiliated with NYU, Yale, Duke, Johns Hopkins, and Columbia Universities (just to name a handful) now offer Reiki to assist with a variety of health issues, As scientific research continues to verify the reality of “life force energy,” more medical establishments are relying on practitioners, such as myself, to help aid in the care of their patients.
Practitioners are using Reiki all over the world to help treat a variety of conditions including:
Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
And many more!
What can I expect from a Reiki treatment?
I work from a health model where I contemplate each client as whole and complete, thus, not focusing on origins of a condition, nor diagnoses. There is no issue that cannot be treated through Reiki. All one needs is an open disposition, and Reiki does the rest.
You can feel free to mention if you are hoping to treat a physical, mental, and/or life condition (i.e. lack of prosperity, lack of love, marital or couple’s issues, parent-child issue) without going into much detail. It is not necessary to spend time discussing symptoms, when we could get right to the healing.
Relying on the Earth’s energy, spirit guides, animals totems, and of course, your higher spirit, I’ll be able to detect blocks that may be keeping you from living your best possible life. I work on the conviction that as I make contact with the universal life force, the Reiki does the healing, layer by layer, removing blocks so we can bring healing energy to every part of your body, mind, and emotions.
Reiki and the other spiritual tools I use, has certainly evolved my 6th sense! More often than not; I am able to share insights, wisdom, and offer you key tools for you to use in the everyday world (it comes from Source not my ego.) In addition, ignite the innate wisdom you already have yourself for healing,
Because of that, we’ll spend time after your session processing what happened, and I will provide you with meaningful feedback that you can use . In addition, the client and I, work as a team, and will have access to me for any questions or guidance that may be needed.
